About Us
Friends at First Mesa is a grassroots nonprofit outreach based in downtown Mesa, Arizona.
Our mission is to offer dignity, relief, and compassionate care to adults experiencing homelessness or hardship—meeting urgent needs with warmth and respect.

We believe everyone deserves a safe place to rest, a clean shower, and clothing that restores confidence. More than that, we believe every person who walks through our doors deserves to be treated like a friend.

Your donations help us provide food, hygiene items, clothing, and vital services to people in need.
Here’s how you can give:

Monetary donations – One-time or recurring

Wish list items – New socks, underwear, hygiene kits, non-perishable snacks, seasonal clothing

In-kind goods – Bottled water, blankets, backpacks, shoes, etc. Drop at the church office 15 E. 1st. Ave. Mesa, 85210 Monday - Thursday 9am - 3pm.
Donations are tax-deductible.
Donation receipts available upon request.

VOLUNTEER
We rely on volunteers to keep things running smoothly and compassionately.
Opportunities include:

Helping during open hours (cooling room, showers, clothing distribution)

Sorting donations

Preparing blessing bags or meal kits

Offering a listening ear and welcoming spirit

CONTRIBUTE YOUR SERVICES
Are you a nurse, barber, therapist, case manager, or community advocate? We’re always looking to partner with local professionals who can offer specialized care or support.
Even one afternoon a month can have lasting impact.
We especially welcome partnerships with mobile service providers and local nonprofits.
